Three Days of the Condor (1975) is a classic of watergate-era cold war spy paranoia focusing on a C.I.A researcher getting caught up in a wide ranging conspiracy involving shady Alsation assasins, middle eastern oil and plenty of dodgy trench coats.
The 70’s is seen as a bit of no-mans land for Fashion (especially male) and there was plenty of rubbish suits and terrible textures there was also tight classic looks like the one’s above, you can’t beat a hefty chambray shirt with a pea coat (the film also features early technical gear, hiking boots and heavy tweeds which are all pretty hip right now) The shirt in the movie is actually levi’s classic sawtooth cowboy shirt, but they don’t currently make on in that chambray tone so this modern take by Japanese Americana specialists Monitaly does nicely (with pointy 70’s style collar) and for the Jacket, a french made take on the P-Coat by Le Minor.
